-As Web Master, maintain and revise the web site http://www.angelfire.com/my/horo, and provide consulting services on its contents. The web site so far contains entertainment and computer software contents and is written in html, Vbscript languages and Front Page.

-As Computer Programmer, program computer software to support the web site and provide consulting services, design and analysis of engineering problems and entertainment content.

-Wrote two computer program packages, one is an engineering package and the other is an entertainment package. Used Quick Basic(QB), Visual basic (VB6), html, Vbscript and some C++.

-As Consultant, provide consulting services for civil/water resources/water supply problems.

March 1990 - September 1996

Senior Water Resources/Irrigation Engineer Asian Engineering Consultants Corp., Ltd. (AEC) - Bangkok, Thailand:

-Was responsible for hydrological studies, design of water resources, drainage and irrigation report and tender document preparations and technical proposal preparation for bidding.

-Detailed Design of Nam Songkhram Project:
As Hydraulic/Irrigation Engineer under the Association of AEC; EPDC International Limited (EPDCI), Japan and Panya Consultant Co., Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand, was responsible for the detailed design of hydraulic facilities/components as recommended by the feasibility study of Nam Songkhram Project. The client was National Energy Administration (NEA), Bangkok, Thailand.

Facilities/components recommended for design in the Project included irrigation and drainage canals, irrigation control structures (farm outlet, check, check drop, low head pump, inclined axial flow type pump, vertical mixed flow type, pumping intake), main control gate at mouth of Nam Songkhram River for water conservation and flood control.

-Feasibility Study of Nam Songkhram Project:
Served as Irrigation Engineer under the Association of AEC, Pal Consultant Co., Ltd. (PALCON), and Sir William Halcrow and Partners Ltd. (HALCROW), UK. Was responsible for study on irrigation development of the Nam Songkhram covering an area of about 160,000 acre in four northeastern provinces of Thailand. The client was NEA.

-Participated in the preparation of proposals and site visits for various water development projects for irrigation and water supply.

-The Southern Seaboard Development Project:
Project was conducted under an Association of Bechtel International Inc., USA., Nippon Koei Co. Ltd., AEC and South-east Asia Technology Co. Ltd. Was a feasibility study to develop the southern part of Thailand by establishing a land bridge connecting the two coastal areas, the west coast at area around Krabi, Phangnga provinces and the east coast in area around Nakhon Si Thammarat province, together. Whereby, industrial complex, oil refinery plant and sea port would be developed at each end of the land bridge. Oil pipeline would also be planned for locating along the land bridge with terminal at each seaport. The client was Office of the Southern Seaboard Development Committee, National Economic and Social Development Board, Bangkok, Thailand.

-Served as Water Resources/Water Supply Engineer and Hydrologist working for AEC under the Association. Was responsible for the study to develop water supply facilities for industrial complex and sea port located on each side of the land bridge.

March 1989 - February 1990

Hydraulic/Irrigation Engineer Aggie Consult Co., Ltd. - Bangkok, Thailand:

-Was responsible for study and design of hydraulic structures for flood protection and irrigation, and operation and maintenance of irrigation system.

-Maintenance of Irrigation Project and Operation II (MIP & II ) (First Period). As Operation Engineer under the Association of Gitec Consult GmbH., Duessenldorf, W.Germany and Aggie Consult Co., Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand, was responsible for selection of irrigation projects in five Royal Irrigation Department (RID) Irrigation Offices all over Thailand for participated as pilot projects in the use of computer aided program for irrigation planning and operation under the MIP & O II. The client was Royal Irrigation Department (RID) Bangkok, Thailand.

-Tasks involved setting criteria for the selection. Investigation was made to each irrigation project for gathering information pertaining to existing irrigation support facilities and control structures, and irrigation operation procedure. The collected information was compiled and adjusted as necessary for applying the MIP & O II operation concept. Computer aided operation program would be done in the second period.

-Detailed Design of Flood Protection of the Eastern Bank of the Chao Phya River Project:
Served as Hydraulic Engineer under Aggie Consult Co., Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand, working in association with the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Thailand. Was responsible for hydraulic design of pumping stations and vertical gates at selected tributaries flowing into the Chao Phya River. Pumps were of the low head vertical mixed flow type. The client was the Department of Public Works, Bangkok, Thailand.

November 1987 - February 1989

Water Resources/Water Supply/Drainage Engineer (Freelance) South-east Asia Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. ( SEATEC ) - Bangkok, Thailand:

-Developed detailed design of facilities to provide water use and drainage facilities for brackish water aqua-culture development centers and fresh water fish seed centers. Water uses included water for fish uses and potable water for domestic use.

-Detailed Design of Brackish water Aqua-culture Development Centers Project:
As Hydraulic/Water Supply Engineer under SEATEC working in association with TESCO Consulting Co., Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand, was responsible for the detailed design of water supply, drainage facilities for each center's shrimp hatchery, shrimp grow-out ponds and potable water for management personnel. The client was the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Bangkok, Thailand.

1) Designed Water Supply Facilities for Shrimp.
Under direction and coordination of the Aqua-Culture Specialist, designed facilities in each center, such as main sea water intake, main fresh raw water intake, mixing basin for brackish water from sea water and fresh water, canals for supplying brackish water to grow out ponds, collecting canal for drainage from grow out ponds, pipeline for supplying sea water to tanks in hatchery house.

2) Designed Potable Water Supply Facilities for the Center Personnel.
The designed facilities include fresh water supply pipeline to living quarters, administration office and hatchery house. Systems for water clarification by sedimentation and filtration and disinfection by calcium hypo chlorite processes were incorporated to the supply system where necessary, depending on source and quality of fresh water for the system available at each center.

-Detailed Design of freshwater Fish Seed Development Centers Project:

As Hydraulic/ Water Supply Engineer working for SEATEC under the Association of Sanyu Consultant Co. Ltd., Tesco Consulting Co. Ltd. and SEATEC, was responsible for detailed design of water supply and drainage facilities for each center's freshwater fish hatchery, fish grow out ponds and living quarters for management personnel. The client was DOF.

1) Designed Water Supply Facilities for Fish.
Under direction and coordination of the Fresh Water Breeding Specialist, designed facilities in each center , including water supply canals to brood stock ponds, fingerling ponds and nursery ponds, and collected canal for drainage from each set of ponds.

2) Designed Potable Water Supply Facilities for the Center Personnel.
The designed facilities included potable water supply pipeline to living quarters, administration office and Hatchery House. Water treatment system for water clarification by sedimentation and filtration, and disinfect ion by calcium hypo chlorite processes were incorporated to the supply system where necessary depending on source and quality of raw water for the system available at each center.

Water Resources/Irrigation Engineer, Director of Water Resources Section South-east Asia Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. (SEATEC) - Bangkok, Thailand:

-Was responsible for study and design of water resources and irrigation projects, including directing and managing staff, and preparing proposals on water resources/irrigation projects.

-Evaluation of Bids Submitted for the Implementation of Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex and Urban Area Project:
As Water Supply Engineer, conducted the Project under the Joint Venture between Pacific Consultants International, AEC and SEATEC. Was responsible for the evaluation of bids submitted by Contractors on the implementation of water supply components for industrial and treated water of the project. The client was Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT).

-Corrected specifications and ability of each contractor to carry out the work successfully in time, more emphasis was put on the evaluation of the treatment plant designed for providing by a Specialist Supplier under the method of Approved Contractor Material and Method (ACMM).

-Post Evaluation of Srinakarind Dam Project:
As Water Resources and Hydrologist working for SEATEC under the Association of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA ), Bangkok, Thailand and SEATEC, was responsible for the evaluation of the benefits on flood control aspect of the dam. The client was Electric Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

-Detailed Design of Mountain Access Road:
As Drainage Engineer working for SEATEC under the Association of TESCO Consulting Co., Ltd. and SEATEC for the subcontracted works of an Australian engineering company, was responsible for the typical detailed design of drainage structures consisting of longitudinal drainage and cross-drainage structures inclusive of drainage design for mountain access roads for projects in northern provinces of Thailand. The client was Department of Public Welfare (DPW).


-Detailed Design of the Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex and Urban Project:
As Water Supply Engineer working for SEATEC under the Joint Venture of Pacific Consultants International, Act Consultants Co. Ltd, AEC and SEATEC, was responsible for the detailed design of water treatment plant for domestic uses as well as its supply system consisting of mains and distribution pipelines. The design also included main pipelines for supply of raw water for industrial uses. The client was IEAT. Computer program was used in the design of pipeline system in the analysis for pipe sizing and pressure analysis.

-Feasibility Study for the Establishment of an Integrated Steel Plant Project:
As Water Resources/Water Supply Engineer and Hydrologist working for SEATEC under the Association of ESTS Technical Services BV., NEDECO and Haskonning from the Nethherlands and SEATEC for conducting the study, was responsible for the study to develop water supply facilities for an integrated steel plant to be set up in southern part of Thailand. Various alternative sites for the plant were pre-selected and taken for study. The client was the Ministry of Industry (MOI).

-Sample Design for On-Farm Development, Nam Mun Project: As Irrigation Engineer working for SEATEC under the Joint Venture of Harza Engineering Company International and SEATEC for conducting the Nam Mun Project, was responsible for selection and formulation for a degree of on-farm developments as well as detailed design in two sample areas of dissimilar topographic characteristics as typical of the project area. The two sample developments were to be basis for estimating the project's overall on-farm development cost. The client was the Royal Irrigation Department (RID).

-On-farm Design for Phitsanulok Irrigation Project: As Project Irrigation Engineer for On-Farm Detailed Design working for SEATEC under the Joint Venture between ELC-Electroconsult, SEATEC and Nippon Koei Co. Ltd. for conducting the main Phitsanulok Project, was responsible for on-farm detailed design for a 40,000 acre part of the whole project area. Depending on topographic characteristics of the area and farmer holding plot sizes, the design was identified for various degrees of development, ranging from developments inclusive of land relocation and land leveling to minimum developments in areas subjected to inundation of rainwater resulting from the project scheme to prevent river flooding by the construction of dike. The client was RID.

-Preparation of Proposals: Participated in the preparation of proposals and site visits for various water development projects for irrigation, hydro-power and water supply. One of the proposals and site visit was made to the Republic of Indonesia.

March 1970 - May 1978

Junior Civil/Water Resources Engineer, Project Civil Engineer The Office of Accelerated Rural Development (ARD) Royal Thai Government - Bangkok, Thailand:

-Was responsible for planning, detailed design, construction supervision and management of ARD projects consisting of small surface water resources, ground water resources and rural road developments, as well as on-the-job training of junior engineers and technicians on the design of water resources development projects. Overall responsibility for engineering works in one of the ARD Changwats (provinces).

-Projects under the responsibilities of ARD Changwat Kalasin Office: As Project Engineer, was required to manage, oversee, supervise and make plans for successful construction and implementations.

-Projects under the ARD well Drilling Center, Changwat Khonkaen of the Division of Field Operation, including ground water resources development consisting of deep well drilling by rotary and percussion type machines:
As Chief of Technical Section of the Center, was required to give related advice on their implementations ranging from planning, locating, construction to pump selection and etc. In most cases, the wells were installed with deep well hand pumps, in other cases, motor driven deep well pumps were also considered for installation based on requested and well production rates.

-Projects under the Thai-Australian Rural Development Center, Changwat Prachuab Khirikhan* of the Division of Field Operation, including rural road, land clearing for farming and farm pond development types: As a Thai counter-part Project Engineer, was jointly required to manage, oversee and supervise their successful implementations and construction.

Projects under the Surface Water Resources Development Division, including small dam and reservoir, and farm pond development types: Assignments were for planning for implementation of 50 projects, training young engineers/technicians and detailed design of eight projects.

-Studied flood, water demand and supply, layout of project components (dam embankments, spillways, outlets ), hydraulic and structural detailed design of the components, estimating project construction cost and preparation of project specifications.


-On-the-Job Training Program in Small Surface Water Resources Development Project: This project was conducted by Ralph M. Parson (RMP), Los Angeles, USA. in association with Thai Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd.. (TEC), Bangkok, Thailand for ARD. Various provinces in the northeastern and northern part of Thailand were taken as sites for the training.

As Design Trainee in the project, was promoted to Trainor, with intention for taking over the training task in the future after the Project was over.

The training included the following:

1) Preliminary survey various small surface water resources development projects, as initiated by each province council. The survey was to short list the number of initiated projects and to justify and identify for type of development as well their potential for further investigation.

2) Feasibility survey and study those in the short list and with recommended for study. Ranked priority was assigned to each feasible project.

3) Class-room discussions on topics of hydrology, field investigation, dam design, cost estimate, engineering economics, project scheduling, pond and shallow dug well design, irrigation distribution system, water management, specification preparation, construction planning, construction supervision and reporting.

4) Detailed hydrology studies, by which, in each province, four first ranked-priority dam projects were selected and the studies were on topics included such as rainfall - runoff relationships, evaporation, and etc. for sizing of reservoir storage, evaluation of project cost/benefit, --- based on water available water supply/demand and/cost estimated from the feasibility studies --, and spillway flood design and etc.

5) Detailed design the four small dam projects consisting of earth embankment, reinforced concrete and earth spillway and other appurtenance structures. The designed projects were intended for implementation in the coming fiscal year under the execution of ARD.
